Cloverhill Golf Club - Barry McKeown is the winner
Barry McKeown (26) made his long awaited visit to the winners enclosure as he captured the Easter weekend singles stableford competition with a return of 42 points. The early season promise came to fruition for Barry as he saw off Colin Pilkington (6) into second place with 40 points one ahead of Ollie Martin (18) who was third with 39 points.
The second of the Monthly Medal competitions will take place next weekend. The first of our inter-club teams into action is the Ulster Fourball team captained by Peter Byrne whose side face away and home matches with Newtownstewart before May
The Good Friday Open competitiuon was spoiled by the weather with a lot of the competitors calling it a day before completing their round. Of the cards returned it took a countback to seperate the top two who had finished with 36 points. Seamus Clarke was the winner from playing partner Paddy Nevin with Noel Magill back in third place with 34 points. Friday April 9 will host the next open in which the Entry fee is £10 or €12 for visitors and £5 or €6 for members. Tee times must be booked. G.U.I. CARD required.
