Cloverhill Golf Club - David Grabs the Turkey

The second round of the Eclectic/turkey competition saw a three way tie on 27 points to fill the top three places. David Pilkington (3) went one better than last weeks second place with Sean Conroy filling the runner-up spot ahead of third placed Raymond Martin. Week three of the 7 week competition will be in operation this week.

The Seniors held their Annual General Meeting following the completion of their Winter League last Thursday. As per usual Seniors Supremo Noel R Williams had everything in perfect order. A healthy bank balance at the end of proceedings and a very detailed account of finances, fixtures and competition winners was furnished by the very efficient Noel. The only sad note from the meeting is that the 78 year old boss has declared this his last year in office. Charlie O Hare is Secretary and Brendan Brown is handicap convenor.

The Winter league was won by long time leader Sean Conroy but he was given a late fright from fast finishing Seamus McCoy who ended only a half point behind Sean with Heber McMahon back in third place.
The turkey competitions will begin this coming Thursday.

Every Tuesday night in the club commencing at 8-30 there will be Partners “45” cards for turkey's. Members and non-members are most welcome to join in on the craic.

The Cloverhill last person standing resumes this week after the International break. Four people are still in contention for the prize but names and money is now being collected for the the next one.
