Cloverhill Golf Club - Sunday Competition

The best weather for a couple of months brought the members out in force on Sunday for the category competition. The three category competition brought three first time winners into the winners enclosure after a couple of near misses during the course of the year. The future of the club looks good as juvenile Christopher McKay (20) showed the field the way home with a winning score of 41 points to be the overall winner. Colin McParland (10) won the low section with 37 points. The middle section winner was Frank Ryan (18) with 39 points. The high section went to Anthony Boden (21) who shot 36 points.

Next weekend sees the second last of the Monthly medals taking place. Members can play either Saturday or Sunday. The following weekend is a very busy one with Ann Murphy hosting her Lady Captains Prize on Saturday 26 and the following day Sunday 27 President Seamus McCoy will be holding his big day.

Our defending Sam Rutherford team will play the first leg of the final away to Mannan Castle on Saturday 19 at 1pm

FUNDRAISING NIGHT

The annual fundraiser was very successful on Saturday night. The club would like to thank everyone who supported the venture by either purchasing or selling tickets. A special thanks to Mark Hughes who acted as bookie for the night. The proceeds from the fundraiser will be seen to fruition on the course over the Winter months.
