Cloverhill Golf Club - David takes the Turkey again

The third round of the Eclectic/turkey competition saw David Pilkington (3) come out the right side of a countback for his second successive success in the competition. It not has taken David long to master his early christmas present of new clubs which seem to be doing the business as David returned 29 points for the 12 holes the same as Andrew Brodigan (8) which was one better than third placed James Coburn (8) who finished with 28 pts. Last weeks third placed Raymond Martin just failed to make the podium for the second week running with his return of 27 points. Prizes each week for the top three as well as 1,2,3 in the overall eclectic total which is stroke play. Week three of the 7 week competition will be in operation this week.

It takes more than a little bit of rain to derail our Seniors on Thursday with Fr Cullen leading the charge and it was one of his not so willing passengers Jim McDonnell who became the first winner of the turkey competition which will continue this Thursday. The Cloverhill last person standing sees two remaining in contention with a possible third depending on Spours on Monday night. Don't miss out on the next one as names and money are now being collected.

A reminder that the Captains 60's Charity Themed night is on Dec 4 with tickets priced at a £5 now on sale. All proceeds including those collected for missing the green at hole 7 during the year will go to local charity C.U.B.S.
The wet weather has delayed the commencement of the development work on the course which will now commence at the beginning of December.
