Sad news reached the club on Saturday morning with the news that past Captain Gene McKevitt had passed away the night before. Gene an inaugural committee member worked tirelessly in the establishment of the club and was installed as Captain in 2001. The suddenness of his passing came as quite a shock as he adorned the fairways a couple of weeks before and was looking forward to the 2009 season. The annual Captain’s Dinner will take place in the clubhouse on Saturday Jan 17. Tickets can be had from any committee member but hurry as numbers are limited.
