Cloverhill Golf Club - Winter Work

At the September meeting The Committee sanctioned a further allocation of club funds to Colin to carry out further improvements to the course.

As in the past members have seen the benefits of their much appreciated support of The Committees fund-raising efforts transferred into progress on the golf course in terms of condition and machinery.

The combined financial efforts of Colin & The Committee has helped provide us with an ever improving course with the Greens in particular coming in for some well warranted praise. But as is the norm these efforts at improvement do not come cheap.

A budget has been set aside which will see Winter Work commence at the end of October to some of the following holes 5 (left side of green)- 6 (tee-box to remove O.U.B)- 8 (G.U.R area to right of hole)- 9 (elevate Green)- 10 (re-shape front bunker & fill in bunker at back of hole)- 12(re-shape Green surround) & 14 (3 Tier Green) plus explore the feasibility of a new pathway from the ninth green to the tenth tee .

The extent and scale of the work will obviously be constrained by how far the Budget will stretch. Colin will decide on where the money is best spent .
