Cloverhill Golf Club - Captains Day Next Week
There will be a prize presentation that night where all members are invited. Tee-off times are posted on the website and everyone is to be ready to play at least 15 minutes before their allocated time.
Sunday saw a 3 person scramble take place with Benny Tierney, Colin McParland and Declan O Neill emerging the winners with an eight birdie haul for a 61 and a playing handicap of 4 leaving a nett 57. The winners had a half shot to spare over Paul Kelly, Noel McParland and Paul Murchan who finished with 57.5 who in turn were just point three ahead of Colm Traynor, Christopher Reel and Kieran Crummie. P.S. it's nice to see that all those knocks Benny took as a goalkeeper only effect him occasionally, like turning up at Rossmore for an inter-club match with the boots in the car but no golf clubs.
The Rossmore Cup team have it all to do in the home leg against Lurgan as they trail 3-1 and by 10 holes. The Sam Rutherford team will be heading to Banbridge on Friday July 15 for a first leg encounter with the home team with a place in the semis up for grabs.
