Cloverhill Golf Club - Winter League Action

The very frosty weather has certainly curtailed any early morning golf over the last week leaving a rush for the tee at around midday. The first of the open scrambles on Saturday saw brothers Billy & Frank Ryan march to victory behind team captain John Byrne who is well used to dishing out the orders down the years. Hopefully those booked for the early start last week will be able to make it this Saturday where hopefully the weather will not be as severe.

The Seniors Winter league was won by Billy Ryan who held off a late charge from Jim McDonnell who was runner-up with Noel R Williams and Vincie Gorman tied third. The first of the Seniors Thursday Christmas competitions was won by Vincie Gorman with Billy Ryan in second place.

Open Christmas Scrambles- There will be open 3 person scrambles any combination on Sat 13, 20 and 27 of December at £30 per team.  Tee-times must be pre-booked Tel- 02830 889374 or 02830889580.
