Cloverhill Golf Club - Snow Golf Again

The returned snow put paid to the Winter League for this week but there is plenty of time to catch up over the next month or so with play commencing from Monday to Sunday this week.

The Seniors held their first outing of 2011 on Thursday where the ever efficient Noel Williams furnished all members with a complete diary of events for the year. There was a tie in the 12 hole stableford competition which was held with Club President Charlie O Hare and new member Raymond Kelly both returning 24 points one better than Fr Cullen. There will be a 3 person scramble on Thursday next with a 10 am start.

Twenty members headed to Ardglass last week for an outing with Benny Tierney taking the honors from brother in law Declan O Neill. The club would like to thank Ardglass Golf Club for their outstanding hospitality and cordiality.
Work begins this week on the construction of new tee boxes at holes 9 & 18 with Colin apologizing for any inconvenience caused while work is being carried out on the course for the next few months in preparation for the real start of the golfing season in March.
