Frenchman Franck Wins Again

Frenchman Franck Pelissou followed up his recent Presidents prize win by capturing the Coleman Properties sponsored singles stableford on Sunday. Fresh from jibing everyone in the clubhouse following France’s win in the rugby Franck took to the fairways where he once again produced the goods over the back nine hole to lead him to success. The 23 handicapper had only 16 points on the front nine but was 8 better on the back nine for a total of 40 pts to win on the countback from Miceal McGuinness. Colin McParland was third with 39 points. The front nine was won by Joe Pilkington (20 pts) with 21 pts from Jim McKay winning the back nine. Next weekend is the September Monthly Medal competition.

Everyone is gearing up to the club weekend away to Portmarnock on October 5-7 which should provide a great weekends crack as well as two competitive rounds of golf.

The Annual presentation night in the clubhouse will be held on Saturday November 24. Tickets will be on sale shortly. The Annual General meeting will take place on Monday November 26 at 8-30 sharp.

The club would like to extend it’s sympathy to member Joe Hazzard and his family circle on the sudden death of his brother. “Ar dheis De go raibh a h- anam dilis.”
