Heavy Rain Cancelled Golf

No golf at the week end because of the heavy rain. On Thursday the seniors had the third week of turkey competition with the honours going to Brendan Brown and Peter McCreesh. The seniors will be back in action at 10-30 am this Thursday.

The year is near over and already the GUI competitions for next year have arrived. The mock draws have left the club in for a very busy May with three club qualifiers in a row taking place. The Jimmy Bruen Shield is in the Nuremore on May 4. The Pierce Purcell is in Banbridge May 11. The Irish mixed is in Co. Cavan on May 18. The Irish Junior Cup is in Co Armagh on June 1. First into action though will be the Ulster Fourball side against Lambeg before April 28.

Membership vouchers are available for those looking stocking fillers.

A reminder to all members to check if their driver conforms to the new regulations that comes into effect on January 1 2008. A full list of non-conforming drivers is available in the clubhouse for checking.

Social activity this week-end sees the Christmas Pubingo on Saturday night 8-30 with up to €3000 to be won. The regular Tuesday game continues at 8-30.
